.. SHERRY TRIFLE!!!! Despite decades of cooking under my expanding belt, never before have I felt the urge to combine jelly with custard and bits of damp cake until today. Rapidly approaching fifty so is this what they mean by 'the change'? Worried I'll be slapping together some other grisly throwback next week. If I get to the stage where I'm thinking instant mash sounds like a good idea, would you promise to shoot me?

I love sherry trifle, especially my nan's. She ran out of sherry the other day and it was most disappointing....

By the way, I'm not saying that sherry trifle is only made by nans or that you are old enough to be a nan or anything.....I'm going to stop now! Good luck with the trifle!

There was no sherry so it ended up as Stones Green Ginger Wine trifle... No liver or onions but I'm suddenly getting a hankering for both with a nice bit of streaky whilst wearing a maxi dress and watching the Two Ronnies. Is this how Life on Mars started?
