Will be staying in a caravan and will be stopping en route for a substantial meal but am stuck for ideas of what to give the kids (dts 3 and dd1 8) and me and dh when we get there. Won't be doing a shop till the next day so it would be something we could take with us and will little prep needed.

Pack of pasta...jar of sauce...but of cheese...bread...bottle of wine for mummy.

Pretty much exactly what I was going to say. Make it a bag of grated cheese in case you find the caravan doesn't have a grater.

Take some apples and satsumas (or any other fruit that doesn't need fridge) to make up for lack of veg.

Order a pizza Grin

Omelettes - eggs and cheese all that's needed! Throw in a bag of pre-prepared salad if you're feeling virtuous.

Pre packed salad will be mushy if the car journey is long though.

sainsburys swedish meatballs (they just need warming), spaghetti and bolognese sauce with grated cheese.
sausages or fishfingers with super noodles.
asdas family lasagne and garlic bread.

Make bolognaise, freeze. Allow to defrost on journey and do with pasta. Easy
