meat balls or burgers ? Mix with finely chopped onoin, breadcrumbs , some tomato puree , garlic and herbs if you like, and egg. Form shapes and lightly toss in flour before frying.

Otherwise bolognese or pasta bake.

Is it ok to deep fry them in sunflower oil or is that really bad?

I would fry them in olive oil then cook in tomatos sauce

sorry to be so stupid, but do I need to deep fry them so the meat is cooked? Or is frying in a frying pan ok?

When I make meatballs I put the mixture into a mini muffin tin and bake in the oven. Healthier and easier! You don't even need to oil the cups.

We made fantastic turkey burgers at the weekend (first time ever). Used turkey mince (obviously), an egg, couple of tsps of dried sage, and some breadcrumbs and freshly ground pepper. We just baked them in the oven on a non-stick tray for about 25-30 mins at 170c (fan oven). Yum.

no shallow frying should be enough, you could seal them either add to a tomato sauce and simmer or bake in oven for 20 minutes or so or continue frying them , turning them over frequently.
