I had these at a friends and fancy them for tomorow's pancake day rather than the thin british ones. But i have no idea how to make them!

Any tips?

here's a fab one

1.5 cups of flour
1 or 2 tablespoons sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
.5 teaspoons salt

combine 1 beaten egg
1 and 3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons veg oil

add liquid ingredients to dry. beat only until combined
grease frying pan only lighty

yum yum yum
this is a Cnd one btw, but still excellent. best with maple syrup, Cdn of course!

Hana's is pretty close to mine. I've got one which is perfect every single time and makes really nice fluffy pancakes:

A 'cup' is a standard size coffee mug.

1 egg
3/4 cup of self raising flour
1/2 cup of milk
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1 tbsp of melted butter
1 tbsp of vegatable oil
1 tbsp of sugar

mix together and pour a very lightly buttered, non stick pan. don't re-butter the pan. this recipe has butter in them and splooges out whilst cooking, giving a non stick characterisic to them and providing a lovely even golden brown colour.
