im watching this now - but he is saying the free range brands were only on the shelves for 6 weeks from April....

i had no idea about this scheme and i would happily much prefer to buy free range than anything else....

is Jimmys range still in Tesco?

I think, in their biggest stores, there is a pretty good selection of free-range meat products. They way stocking works at Tesco is entirely demand-led. If a line is put on the shelf and, after six weeks, it isn't getting enough trade or causing too much waste (being marked down at the end of the shelf-life or being thrown away) they will de-list it.

my hubby came home with free range chicken kievs on tuesday, and then put the program on and realised it about them. so yes. (huntingdon big Tesco)

I'm putting his kievs and sausages on my shopping list for next week - both aren't something we normally eat but am willing to buy as they are a better quality.

I really hate buying nuggets, goujons, chicken curry etc in Tesco as 11 times out of 10 it says 'this chicken is from either brazil or holland' not appetising at all

and am Shock they we send our older chickens to china. madness

Tesco's are the worst - brilliant PR and unbelievable adverts (the sausage one for instance).

Dont buy or eat nuggets etc - terrible taste!

I looked specifically for the sausages and kievs last week, but not in our tesco (Salisbury) I have really enjoyed the programme but hate tesco!! Good on you Jimmy I say!
