No I can do fishcakes tho' would that be any use?

PeachyClair · 23/02/2006 19:49

Either flake mix with an egg and squish together, or do as per fishcakes with mashed potatoes. Surely??

(I'm rubbish at recipes btw, I just make up everything as I go, don't own any proper cookbooks )

Due to waste of space last post, found this on the net:

Serves 2
This is actually my son's recipe. This easy tuna burger has a very spicy flavor with a zing of lemon. It came out perfect the first try; just goes to show how much our kids can learn about food just from watching us.

Ingredients:

1 can solid white albacore tuna, drained

1 tablespoon bread crumbs optional

1 large egg white

1 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning

1 tablespoon red pepper flakes

Directions: Mix all ingredients together in small bowl. Form two patties and cook on a pre-heated non-stick pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray until tuna patties are slightly browned. Served on beds of lettuce (low carb) or on slices of Ezekial 4:9 bread.

Do you think I could bind it with something other than egg (my dd is allergic) ?

Would fishcakes be same but just adding mash potatoes ?

Thanks all !

I'd use mashed potato and maybe some fried onion or sweetcorn - it may bind (mix it & try) or you may need milk or even a bit of flour to bind it - I would normally use egg

Good luck

Ooh yes, the fried onion sounds yummy w/ mash pot... will try that 'n see if I can get it to bind (guess I could add some veg oil if I need to stick all ingredients together).
