has anyone made the chocolate cakes from River Cafe Easy? Need a gluten free pud.

I just wondered if anyone's made any of the 5 flourless cakes in the Rover Cafe book, and if they worked? Or if anyone has any other good flourless recipes for pudding for a boozy dinner?

Nigella's flourless brownies are easy and delicious. Good with raspberries as a dessert.

Nigella express has flourless choc cake with I think lime margarita's suggested.

Nigella's clementine cake is gluten free, and an alternative to chocolate cake. And it is incredibly easy to make - I can't remember the amounts offhand, but you gently simmer the clementines for 2 hours, let them cool, squeeze them to get a bit of the water out, then cut them into quarters, remove the pips, and blitz in a food processor. Then add the sugar, eggs and ground almonds, and blitz again. Pour into baking tin and bake. It is a deliciously moist, dense, orange-y cake, and keeps well (though it rarely lasts long in this house).

have just googled the Clementine Cake and that sounds lovely - i really like cakes made with ground almonds. I wonder if i can just away with doing a dry run of both ?

I think you should - it's the right thing to do. If I were living near you, I would self-sacrificingly offer to come and help taste them. I am just that nice!
