Need a poppy seed cake recipe that does not need buttermilk, or sour cream or use American cup measures

there's on in nigella's domestic goddess, i think it's a variation of the madeira cake recipe. never made it, but pretty sure it doesn't have buttermilk/sour cream and definitely in metric. there's also one in St John which again i've never made.

this one is lovely. I make it quite a lot.
