..just like I am Grin I am really going for broke and making:

Cucumber ribbon sarnies
Coronation chicken on croutes
Gravadlax pinwheel sandwiches
Ham and Cheese "Palmiers"
"Pain au Sausage Roll" (nicked from Great British Menu)
Quails' Eggs Scotched
Cheese Scones

Jubilee Cake (2 tier sponge with a runout of Queen's head from the coronation portrait and some bunting etc round the sides)
Decorated sugar cookies in a crown shape
Red, White and Blue Macarons (flavours undecided yet)
White Chocolate Mousse on a crispy chocolate base made
Meringues made
Scones, Jam and Cream
Viennese Biscuits (thanks, Hairy Bikers Hmm)
Blue and Red Battenberg

Am in the middle of a massive bakeathon now !

Wow!!! That sounds amazing!
I'm doing a similiar cake but with the union flag designed on top with fruit!
Fay ripleys bakewell cake
Scones with jam/cream
Sausage rolls... Bought!
Cucumber sarnies... Might do the ribbon thing now you have mentioned it!
Quiche

Salads
Sausages on sticks( with flags on the sticks)
Our tea is mainly for kids so nothing posh!

I need some simple ideas as my Belgian boss has been going on about this for weeks....so now I feel the need to do something - but it musn't be expensive and I go to work on the bus.....ideas much appreciated...

Have now made the coronation chicken, the viennese and the battenberg (red and blue sponge with white marzipan). Cookies made but not iced yet, likewise the big cake.

too late now for this to be anything other than retrospective, but I wanted to share these and these and my first attempt at cakepops (using Lakeland cakepop maker as I don't like the idea of crumbling perfectly good cake up Hmm)
