Tell me what I can offer in a Naice Picnic

Off out for a day over the BH weekend and will be providing the picnic. 2 hour drive to the venue, and picnic about two hours after that.

There'll be 6 adults and two non-fussy DCs

Didn't want to turn up with sarnies / crisps / apples. Wanted to impress

How lovely!I'd do something like this:
Big pasta salad - penne /twirly with tuna ,red/green chopped peppers,cherry tomatoes-maybe a bit of honey and mustard dressing.
Tomato and cucumber chopped up to make mediterrean salad -take the seeds out of both and take some balsamic vinegar and olive oil to chuck over at the last mo.
Couscous salad -lob in tomatoes,bit of basil,chopped up chicken.
Cheese and broccoli quiche -pre cut into slices
Scotch eggs-yum!
Selection of cold meats- chicken drumsticks pre roasted and cooled,on the bone cooked ham,salami,etc
Olives
Coleslaw
Potato salad
Houmous and chopped up carrot/cucumber to dip
2 or 3 different cheeses and fresh baguettes

Nothing wrong with some filled rolls though - maybe make the fillings a bit more unusual - what about BLT's?
Got to have crisps too!

Dessert:strawberries- washed and hulled.pre sliced melon and pineapple.
Cupcakes!

Have added all the ideas onto my shopping list. Mmmm, love BLT sarnies,. didnt think of that. My dad is a pork pies and chicken drumstick man, so hard to cater for.

Do you think I could do cold roast potatoes, with say garlic and rosemary?

Thankfully, we are camping and BBQing it that night so any leftovers will go into the pot for that too.
