Need to make some traybakes for a cake & candy sale. Not very good at baking and certainly don't have traybake recipes in my head I can whip out at a moment's notice!!

All gratefully received. TIA.

Looks very easy, thank you. Any more?

I'll second that malteser one. Just make sure you don't 'sample' any - you won't stop. I make tiffin quite often too. Just as simple and the raisins are obviously one of your 5 a day!

Thanks melon, another good suggestion. Anyone else? Had planned to go to the sale but now going away for the weekend, so feel I should give them heaps to sell.

I've made this one.

I love this one:
tastykitchen.com/recipes/desserts/creamy-lemon-crumb-squares/
A bit more faff, but I like lemon.

Iced cake squares go down well and they're often cheaper to make than traybakes (expensive maltesers...) - just bake your cake in a rectangular pan and then ice with buttercream (chocolate, lemon etc.)

I make the malteser traybake but add marshmallows instead of maltesers (cheaper) or whatever chocolatey sweets are on offer (crunchie bites, bashed up crunchie etc).

OR: 'Traffic Light Squares'

digestive biscuits (crushed)
melted butter

  • make base

chopped glace cherries (all colours)
chopped nuts
1 small tin condensed milk

  • scatter over base
  • bake in oven til brown & bubbling

OR
Bounty Balls

2 pkts coconut
chopped apricots / cherries
1 tin condensed milk
Roll into small balls, then roll in melted chocolate to cover

OR Top Hats (small disc of melted chocolate in tiny bun cases, put a marshmallow in, top with tiny blob of melted chocolate and a smartie). You can make hundreds of these!
