bit confused are you browning them first and then sticking them in the oven? And are you cooking them in the sauce or seperate?

I brown mine on the hob usually and then if no sauce stick them in the oven for around 15-20mins depending on heat of oven and size of meatballs.

If cooking them in sauce I'd usually just add the sauce to the pan on the hob after browning them and cook on hob for 30 mins with lid on. Or stick in covered oven dish and cook for 30-40mins in the oven. Take lid/foil off for last 10 mins.

All oven times are based on 180 degrees.

I've got a lovely Good Housekeeping recipe where you make a tomato sauce then add the (raw) meatballs, wrapped in bacon, to the (hot) sauce then bake for about 45 minutes. Comes out delicious. Meatballs are golf ball sized btw.

I chill mine in the fridge for 30 mins then put the straight into the oven on a baking tray on about mk 4 or 5.
When they comrades out I either purpose them in the pan with the sauce if we are eating them straight away or let them cool before freezing.
I have found they stay together much better this way

If you fry them with a little oil, or in a non stick pan, you can deglaze the pan with red wine, and add it to the sauce.

I put them in the slow cooker with a tin of tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, oregano etc. They taste sublime slow cooked.
And with the leftover tomato sauce I do pizzas.
