i made a lasagne a few weeks ago, cooked it ate half and put the other half in freezer.

i want it tomorrow night for tea, do i take it out and bung it in the microwave to warm up,

or do i take it out tonight, defrost it, and cook in microwave or oven?

I would take it out now and defrost it in the fridge.

Kelly1978 · 15/02/2006 17:29

I would defrost it first, I have trouble getting it hot through if I micro it from frozen.

I'd defrost too. Either tonight and in fridge, or in morning and leave out until defrosted then into fridge until ready to reheat. Did this with shepherds pie the other day - delish! Makes me think I should make more up in advance as it always tastes better after a day or two.

oops, just one more question, would you then reheat in microwave, or warm up in oven?

I do it in the micro, think it prob better as it might dry out a bit in the oven.

PennyLess · 15/02/2006 19:17

I would def do it in the oven as it will heat evenly - you don't want to be stirring your lasagne up, do you?

Covered in foil to prevent drying.

Wrapped in foil in oven.
