How can I thicken homemade bolangnese sauce it seems too watery???

it is currently simmering with the lid off but the kids are hungry and getting impatient!!!

Turn it up high, lid off, stir furiously. It'll reduce.

just keep simmering away I'm afraid with the lid off or you could thicken with a little cornflour and water to really cheat but the purists would probably hang you!!

Lentils as a filler? I'll have to try that. Especially as meat is soooo expensive.
