wem I was incredibly lucky and won a family holiday to sardinia.

Unfortunately dd1 broke her arm and it looks like she may need an op and a long time in a cast. The hol had to be taken by sept this year and between dd and work we couldn't get a suitable date.

I'm hoping they have passed the prize onto someone else but I haven't heard anything.

How is your dd? Did she have the op?

I've reported my posts and asked for them to be deleted. wem is right though, we should definitely all be given kitchenaids anyway.

She has just turned 8.

No op yet. Another week in this cast then another xray to see how it is. The break is on her wrist and they are a bit concerned about it setting correctly and are discussing putting a pin in or maybe breaking it and resetting again. We're hoping that the next xray shows it's ok and she'll just need another cast on for 6 weeks. Either way the only dates we could have done would have been before the earliest poss time for the cast to be removed and the dr would remove it for her to fly.

The dc were a bit disappointed, but old enough to understand the reasons why we can't go.

Thanks for the responses Helen. Since we've got you here - how is it going to be judged? Is somebody going to make all the recipes? Sounds like a good day at MNHQ when they bring them in for taste testing :)

I haven't even thought of a recipe yet! I need DH to do it, he's the cook in this house. I'll tell him, either it's find me a winning recipe or give me £400. No brainer really!

wem someone I work with bakes cakes once a week and sells them for £1 each, he puts all the money makes into a pot, saving for a kitchenaid. I've seen your cakes I'm sure you could make the money for one pretty quickly.

Done! Not convinced my recipe is anywhere near good enough. And I think I forgot to write the oven temperature!!! Doofus.

I'd love to be able to sell cakes but I just don't have time to practice decorating them enough. Hopefully my new ken will help with that!

Now then, this competition definitely closes tomorrow and I'm going to go a little crazy without a deadline in mind to stop me obsessing over when we'll hear. Anyone have any idea when they'll put me out of my misery?
