A very big Lasagne, always a winner :)

will everyone be able to sit at a table? Any known dislikes/allergies?

sunnyshine · 04/05/2012 18:04

No no allergies! Yes room for everyone to sit!

2 roast chickens side by side in roaster - plus yorkshires - delicious!

curry, spaghetti and meat balls, chilli, rissotto, tandoori chicken, biriyani, pilau, grilled chicken nandos style, hot pot, pasta bake, quiche, stir fry,

almost anything really....

Lasagne, garlic bread and salad.
Fresh bread, cold meats, nice cheese.
Chilli and rice.

Fruit salad.
Trifle.
Mini apple pies and cream.
Banana ice cream - ridiculously easy to make but you will need to coordinate serving it.

pasta bake but with mozzarella instead of the creme fraiche. Served with garlic bread and salad. You can do the sauce earlier in the day.

CharminglyOdd · 04/05/2012 18:13

Chilli in the slow cooker/big pan to put on the table, sour cream, wraps, tortilla chips, big bowl of salad, guacamole/salsa/loads of grated cheese, extra jalapenos for adults who like hot food.

lots of great ideas for you already. Otherwise a stew/casserole/tagine type thing. Or hot roast pork sandwiches with salad & coleslaw.

Are you doing puddings too?

peachypips · 04/05/2012 18:39

Toad in the hole with mash, peas and onion gravy!

Fish pie
Paella
Jambalaya

Depends on the age of the children but generally I'd do either lasagne, garlic bread and salad or chilli, rice and dips etc, or a selection of curries and things to go with.

Icecream for the children (with Maltesers on if they are good) and something lemony or chocolatey for the adults.
