Why does ICBITB resoundingly not taste anything like butter? Nor does Utterly Not Butterly.

Clover is the best I have found out of the above 3 which do you use/rate?

Yes yes I know I could just buy BUTTER but I don't want to.

Clover gets my vote - would rather have nice salty French real butter though Grin

piratecat · 01/05/2012 17:11

yes, Clover is nicest.

This really annoys me! It tastes absolutely NOTHING like butter! I don't mind Flora but I usually use Sainsbury's own version of Bertolli (sp) olive oil spread if I manage to resist buying butter. It tastes nothing like butter either, but it doesn't bloody claim to, so it doesn't matter :o

BlackAffronted · 01/05/2012 20:26

Lurpak spreadable.

TheArmadillo · 01/05/2012 20:27

Clover is the only one I can eat that isn't actually butter. The rest are vile.

DaddyPigsSecretAdmirer · 01/05/2012 21:30

Lurpak spreadable just isn't though. TTastes good, but many a slice of bread has been wasted by my ripping them in half. I leave a small amount of butter out of the fridge now if I have it in the house. It's the only way!

OneLittleBabyTerror · 02/05/2012 13:06

I just use butter Grin. The spreadable tastes nothing like butter.

OneLittleBabyTerror · 02/05/2012 13:07

Oh and like DaddyPigsAdmirer I have a butter dish with a block of butter out at all time. We actually always use it up before it goes rancid. Blush

ripsishere · 02/05/2012 13:21

None taste anything like butter which is why we only have butter.

DaddyPigsSecretAdmirer · 02/05/2012 15:23

:o @ OneLittleBabyTerror

And this is why I have to resist keeping the whole lot out of the fridge. I have a wedding dress to fit into very soon and eating the whole lot on a mountain of fresh crusty loaf is all to easy to "accidentally" do! :(
