Fave foods at kids birthday party - what's your top tip/recipe?!

I'm planning my DD's 5th birthday party and I want to make food that the kids will enjoy. Any good ideas for stuff I can make in advance most welcome. (p.s. not living in UK so must make from scratch)

Make pizza dough ahead of time and let kids put their own toppings on... or just make plainish ones yourself!
