I'm talking lasagne, linguine, pasta sauces etc. What are your favourites? I've been an extremely fussy eater since I was a child and have only recently discovered how delicious pasta can be, now I can't stop eating it!

My favourite pasta recipe is

Pasta
Chicken
Bacon
Cheese sauce
And spinach

Put the pasta on to boil (unless using fresh pasta) chop up the chicken into chunks and the bacon into small pieces, put in a frying pan and cook until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is cooked. Put to one side, put the cheese sauce into a pan as per the instructions. Wilt the spinach (basically, put in the cheese sauce when you start boiling it and it will be cooked when you combine everything)

Once the pasta is cooked, put the pasta in the pan with the bacon and chicken, pour over the sauce, mix and serve!

Tastes amazing!! We have this once a week in my house! I promise you, you will enjoy!!

Chopped avocado & chopped buffalo mozzarella. Chopped tomato, skinned & de-seeded. Chopped garlic, loads of fresh basil, salt, black pepper & extra virgin olive oil. Yum!

No need to cook anything except the pasta (fusili or conchiglie work well), just put the tomatoes in boiling water for a minute so that the skins slip off easily. When the pasta's done, stir it into the other ingredients straight away & serve immediately (it will go cold very quickly).

This is my family's all-time favourite pasta dish.

mmm that sound nice sassle - also easy enough for me to cope with, and not using any tricky ingredients I don't recognise! Grin

All time favourite:

Roasted butternut squash, fresh rocket, green olives, goat's cheese (just a bit) and sage butter on taglietelle.

Or:

Mushrooms fried in butter, add cream and fresh sage, add spaghetti and sprinkle with crispy bacon bits.

Or:

Fresh tomatoes (remove seeds), onion and cream- fry together and add to penne, cover in grated cheese and bake for twenty mins.

Our standby is whatever green veg we have in the fridge/freezer, say broccoli, peas, pepper etc, lightly cooked in butter with some onion, stirred through with cream cheese.

In a restaurant where they did a set price 'taster' menu, they had a minty pasta dish. I was dubious but it was delicious! Cream, mint and peas with some other veg I think. Wish I knew how to recreate it.

Red onion
Bunch of coriander
Lime
3 rashers of streaky bacon per person

Chop the onion and bacon and fry in a pan with the chilli flakes. Put the pasta on to boil. Then chop the avocado, coriander and grate the cheese. Drain the pasta, add the bacon, onion and chilli then the rest of the ingredients. Squeeze in the juice of the lime. Stir. Eat. Compose thank you PM for QueenKong.

My favourite (quite naughty!):

Put pasta on to boil. In a small frying pan fry in a little oil, chorizo, chicken, chopped onion and sweetcorn. Add double cream, salt and grinded pepper corns, thicken. Add grated cheese and let melt in. Drain pasta and stir through sauce.

CherryBlossom27 · 09/04/2012 19:24

My favourites are:

spicy sausage sauce (sausages out of skin, tomatoes, garlic, chilli and fennel seeds)
courgettes - fry them till nearly mushy, add garlic, some stock, bit of creme fraiche and serve with stacks of parmesan

rocket, chilli, lemon and parmesan
broccoli and salsiccia (or bacon or pancetta)
salmon/dill

TheSurgeonsMate · 11/04/2012 10:26

Sardine pasta - chop half a red pepper, fry in oil five minutes until soft. Add tin of tomatoes and tin of sardines. Bubble 20 mins. This comes from Claire Macdonalds book Delicious Fish. My own addition is to sometimes add peas to the spaghetti a few minutes before its ready.

Fennel pasta - from the Eagle Cookbook - Slice fennel, stir in some oil, chopped chillis and capers. Roast in oven, Stir into pasta with some lemon juice.

Courgette Pasta - Hugh FW (First River Cottage Book, I think) Fry sliced courgettes with a little garlic really really slowly for a long time (like 20-30 mins) until they're really soft and fragile - Stit into pasta with a little double cream. I sometimes add an egg at the end carbonara-style too to increase the food-value of the dish.

Chinateacup · 11/04/2012 10:39

We love chorizo, cherry toms and chopped peppers roasted together then thrown over some pasta and pesto.
