i LOVE his veg book and i've spent hours poring over the recipes - hey, i've even made a few and they've been great ... but i want to talk about the fennel and celeriac soup. it tasted absolutely MINGING and there aren't many things i really don't like. just a really foul, weird taste and texture and i thought the orange zest sat really uneasily in it. i had friends coming for lunch and spent ages making it but when i tasted it i thought i can't serve this to anyone. go on then, tell me you've all made it and it was delicious!! praps frozen chicken stock was too rich??
admittedly i never much liked celeriac but i will probably never eat it again now!
