Can't believe I haven't seen a thread about this already. The new chocolate philadelphia is a work of genius. It should win some sort of award. Is their a Nobel prize for pure full on loveliness?

I tried it. I didn't like it. I was mightily relieved.

DorothyGherkins · 11/03/2012 20:41

Tried some when a friend offered me some. Was prepared to hate it - it's lovely! We both said we wouldnt know what to do with it, other than eat it straight from the tub - which suits me!

VivaLeBeaver · 11/03/2012 20:44

Could you eat it on toast, like nutella?

BuckBuckMcFate · 11/03/2012 20:44

I am not buying any on the grounds that chocky Philly sounds like something someone who has a hubby would love, hun

I'm adding it to my list of words that make me feel ill and/or stabby.

ChippyMinton · 11/03/2012 20:53

In the interests of research I slathered some nutella over some lidl soft cheese. It was ok, but I prefer them seperately.

And what BuckBuck said about the name. Ick.

Got some today and I have to say I like it. As does 3 yo DS!! It is rich though.

VivaLeBeaver · 12/03/2012 21:43

They should do marmite Philadelphia. I love Philadelphia and marmite on toast.

sailorsgal · 12/03/2012 22:17

I made ds and his friend sandwiches with it along with regular. They both said they hated cheese so i just said it was chocolate spread and they ate it. Grin

I might try some tomorrow on a bagel.

Bought this today and am disappointed. It doesn;t really taste of anything - not chocolatey and not cheesy.

The artisan version made by shops here in Belgium is a lot more tangy with real Belgian chocolate pieces in it.

sailorsgal · 13/03/2012 10:29

belgo that sounds delicious. Envy
