Really struggling to find a good veggie recipe

Has to be vegetarian & no fish.

Needs to be child-friendly as well as adult, so not too spicy.

Needs to be transportable so ideally everything in one dish rather than bits & bobs.

I've been trawling for ages and can't seem to find anything suitable, any ideas?

Do you eat quorn? Tofu?
Quorn casseroles can be very tasty and child friendly, and easily transportable

Macaroni peas?

Recipe here

How 'posh' does it have to be?

i.e. could it just be a pasta dish? In which case, macaroni cheese would be a good one

If it's something more for a dinner party, how about mushroom wellington? If you Google it, you'll find loads of recipes but here is one here as a starter for 10!

This is delicious. I leave out the pine nuts because we don't like them. You can replace the spinach with another vegetable if you prefer.

I have made that one as well Methe and it is delicious.

Hi all, doesn't have to be posh at all - some great ideas there, esp the macaroni peas for the kids of the group to enjoy.

It's not for me so not sure about the quorn option, but I've never cooked with it before so I'm scared of it going chewy or something if I cook it for ages in a casserole!

Thanks for all the suggestions, got more ideas here than over an hour googling :)

Aubergine Parmigiana is one of my favourites!

If it doesn't have to be posh then potato crusted lentil hotpot is a hit with everyone I have ever made it for, little tots through to adults.]] We have had it for Christmas dinner before, requested by visiting guests.

all the children that come her seem to like this one We have taken on picnic and the pastry is dead easy to make and delicious - the mustard powder is needed, but I only ever use milk in the filling Grin
