I bought a bag of 310g macadamias and cranberries to make some cakes over christmas. I never got round to making them and now I've lost the recipe! Does anyone have a nice recipe please that i can use them in? The Use By date is Jan 06 and i dont want to waste them as I seem to remember that they weren't cheap.

TIA

Blondies are nice with macadamia nuts.
Waitrose is a great site for searching by ingredient.

www.allrecipes.com is good for searching by ingredients. I found four recipes with both cranberry and macadamia in them.

thanks very much for the links. I'll have a look now.

I've like the sound of the white chocolate macadamia cranberry dreams on one of the american websites mentioned.
But what do they mean by 'cup' does anyone know?
And for vanilla baking chips could I use white chocolate chips?

Mckenze--1 cup [US] = 8 ounce
White chocolate chips should work fine in the recipe!!

Add them to flapjacks. I make mine differently every time. Crystalised ginger and dates are fabulous in flapjacks, so are dried cherries and chocolate chips!

thank you both. I think i have enough for the amercian dreams and some flapjacks heck, i can see me putting on a few pounds!!

Cover them with chocolate

An American cup is 250 ml. I think that's 8 oz.

Well, I made the amercian dreams from the website that you recommended NotQuiteCockney so i am holding you fully responsible for the half a stone that i will have put on by the time this evening is over! They are delicious! I've lost count of how many I have eaten today. Thank you (I think)

Sorry and thank you!

It's a great website for American cooking. There is a lot of high-fat stuff on there, but lots of low-fat healthy stuff too. Lots of cakes where they substitute apple sauce for the fat, etc etc.

Cover them in chocolate.
