DD was sick - what food can I give her for tea?

DD (16mo) was sick yesterday afternoon 3 times. I gave her some dry bread and some pureed mango last night and she kept it down. Today she had some toast and jam (no butter) for brekkie and a helping of baked beans about 2 hours ago. She's had no milk since being sick - only water and also some diroalyte. Everything's stayed in since 5pm y'day.

  1. Can I re-introduce milk yet? She's been asking for it all day.

  2. Also would it be OK to give her scrambled eggs and then a bit of jelly with some fruit in for her tea or would this be too rich?

ooh! had she got a the vomit bug that is going round? yes just give her bland foods as scrambled egg is find - just nothing rich and give a bit of milk from time to time

I would keep off dairy personally. What about soem rice and veg?

My DSs have had a bug over the last few days and I gave DS2 scrambled egg and it came back up again (although it was probably the case that whatever I gave him would have come back up again). After that I stuck to banana on toast (not butter) for both of them if they were peckish and this seemed to stay down.

I wouldtn introduce milk yet but if you do, do lots of little sips.

MY son had a vomiting bug and then me and toast finally stayed in.

Thanks everyone - went for the rice and veg and finally caved to her pleas for milk but only gave her a tiny bit and topped the bottle up with water. So far it's all stayed put!

glad it staying down. I've been through this so often with my dd, she went through a year of vomitting nearly every week. I think it was school related. Dairy would set her right off again!
