People who have tried a lot of chocolate cake recipes - please advise!

DP has requested chocolate cake for his birthday on Sunday and I don't know which recipe to pick. If it was for me I'd do a flourless number but I don't think he'd want that sort of thing. I'm considering the Hummingbird Sweet & Salty Chocolate Cake which has salted caramel sauce in between the layers.

Needs to serve 12-15 and be absolutely AMAZINGLY chocolatey.

People have raved about Nigella's Guinnes Chocolate Cake or Nigella's Malteaser Cake - are they really that good?

Just answered your other thread about the sweet and salty chocolate cake. I've made Delia's Guinness chocolate cake which is very tasty although not as indulgent as the Hummingbird one. Similarly, Nigella's malteser cake (as opposed to the traybake) was lovely, especially for DH who loves malty tastes) but it wasn't all that chocolatey really.

The Hummingbird one would serve those numbers easily.
