Mil intolerant of wheat, dairy and sugar...what can I make her when she comes for lunch this weekend? Also have two toddlers, myself and a DH to feed who will not be impressed with a large salad....
Help?!

Ps she will eat these things in small quantities she's not allergic or anything just bloody fussy

Baked pots, or soup and gluten free bread for her?

Slag Bol with wheat free pasta
Agree with soup
Stew
Salmon and rice
Adult dd is intolerant of wheat, it makes her really uncomfortable, I'm intolerant of lactose, but again it doesn't kill me. We both eat tiny bits of it to be polite if someone has cooked, but that doesn't mean we'd eat Lasagne. Food intolerance is such a pain for everyone, sympathies

Sorry Eaglewings didn't mean to make light of food intolerance. I'm a bit Hmm about MIL because she claims to be intolerant then eats a massive piece of Christmas pudding and clotted cream, or has a sneaky chocolate bar. Then says 'no, I can't eat toast or eggs or cereal for breakfast, Ill feel dreadful!' if it's really yummy, she eats it!

It's hard to resist temptation especially when you are having to be 'good' most of the time. I find goat milk is fine and use this for anything that I would use cows milk for( although not if there is real lactose intolerance).
Rice based dishes are great , kedgeree, stir fry, if it's hot food you want
100 petcent Rye bread can be found in most supermarkets and is great toasted, so good with soup too.
Jacket potato with tuna or other non cheese topping

Ams I'm dairy and wheat intolerant so when out i'll take pure rye bread and have pnut butter or tahini and avocado with salad sandwiches (I use olive oil instead of butter) also i take a haricot bean dip. (I don't think it's fair to make hosts do different food for everyone). I'll eat loads of veg and salmon etc.

My sympathy was for you Ams25, sorry if it came over wrongly
