Tried and Tested Slow Cooker Recipes Please?!

I have finally ordered my Slow Cooker and it is due to come in the next couple of days so I want to account for this when I do my online shop (aren't I organised?!)

Can I please have your tried and tested recipes so that I can get cooking?!

Ha!

No it didn't. I checked it after an hour and the meat had barely browned and everything was rock solid.
My own silly fault. I think there was far too much in it.

I ended up bunging it in the oven

Veg soup
2.5 litres
30g butter
1.25kg mixed veg, carrots, parsnips, potato, onion, celery, leek, toms
30g Flour
1100ml stock
1tsp mixed herbs
salt and pepper to taste

Peel and cube your veg, melt butter in a pan and soften the veg for 2-3 mins, add stock and bring to the boil, season and put in the crock pot. Cook for 6-8 hrs. Cool and liquidise. Thicken with flour if needed.

Chicken in white wine sauce
4 chicken joints
30g butter
1 large onion, chopped
125g mushrooms
2 tbsp corn flour
500ml dry white wine
1tsp mixed herbs
2 egg yolks
5 tbsp double cream

Put chicken in butter and fry until sealed, add onion cook till soft, add mushrooms and cook for 1 min on low heat, blend in cornflour with a little wine, then pour in rest with blended cornflour, mixed herbs and seasoning, bring to boil, stirring until thick. Put all in crock pot. Cook for 5-8 hrs. Just before serving beat yolks and cream together and pour in to crock pot.

Beef Curry
3 tbsp veg oil
2 med cooking apples
2 large onions chopped
700g stewing steak
3 tsp curry powder
3 tbsp flour
400ml beef stock
3 tbsp mango chutney
75g sultanas
200g tin toms
2 tbsp lemon juice

Fry apple an onion in oil till soft, coat meat in flour, add to pan and fry till brown, stir in stock and bring to simmer, add remaining ingreadiants, and bring back to simmer. Put all in crock pot and cook for 4-7 hrs.

Pork Goulash
2 tbsp oil
1 onion chopped
4 tbsp flour
1 and half tsp paprika
750g stewing pork
1 red pepper
1 tsp oregano
3 tbsp tom puree
450 ml stock
1 small carton of soured cream or yoghurt.

In pan fry onion till soft, blend together paprika, flour salt and pepper, toss in pork and seasoned flour, fry till brown, add red pepper, oregano, puree and stock, bring to boil, stir till thick, put all in crock pot and cook for 4-8 hrs. Just before serving stir in the soure cream or yoghurt.

Now me being me I don't pre cook any of the ingreadiants, I just throw it all in.
