What do you do with those STEW PACKS. Need recipes/ideas please.

Have brought one and am now stumped
Has carrots, onions, turnip and a few potatoes.

Chop the veg that you have, and also chop 1lb of stewing steak into approx 1 inch pieces.

Stick oven onto low (Gas mark 2/160). In a casserole pot, cook the onions in some oil/butter on the hob for a couple of minutes. Then add the veg and beef, 2 tablespoon of tomato puree, half a pint of stock and 1/2 a bottle of red wine, salt & pepper. Bring to the boil over the hob and then put in oven for 3-4 hours.

Serve with warm crispy bread (and the rest of the red wine.
