Best way to roast a whole duck?

I bought a whole duck from the butcher today, as it was £6 - seemed cheap to me. I'm going to cook it on Sunday. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to cook it or should I just bung it in the oven and baste occasionally?

MMMmmmm lovely!

prick it with a fork all over so that fat can render out of the skin while it is cooking. Rub with salt to crisp up the skin too.

You could sit it over sliced onions and potatoes - look up Nigel Slater recipe on google, tis very good indeed.

Enjoy, btw what time shall I come round??? :)
