If you were going on Come Dine With Me, what would you cook ?

I am not by the way, but if you were to go on, what would your menu be?

I would have:
posh Russian salad (had at nice hotel on 1st wedding anniversary)
fillet steak, dauphinoise, green beans
lemon posset with raspberries and homemade tuille

DH favours:
black pudding and goats cheese stack on lambs lettuce & a little roasted beetroot
venison plus potato of some kind maybe fondant
bakewell tart & thick/clotted cream

tbh I'd scoff the lot!
What would you do?

Don't really know but would love to do it.

I'd prob do a meze start, hoummous, Kacik(Tzakiki) Borek, Aubergine Caviar and Pide

Main a Tagine (lamb or chicken) with couscous and salad
desert a good tiramisu or rice pudding with saffron

Also would like to do a Japanese version and a french version but having lived abroad for so long can do med/mid east easily.

Ooh That does sound nice. I am on a diet eating healthily. All food sounds amazing.

I used to want to go on, but since a couple of MNers did actually go on the programme and told 'us' about it then no way would I go on.

I would make something tasty, but light for starter.
Meat dish for main and a chocolate something dessert, or possible a trio of mini desserts.

I remember a thread where a MNer was in selection process but I didn't read long enough that she spilled. Will go search and read during night feeds!
