So I'm looking at these two great big turkey drumbsticks (not an euphmism)

'an' doesn't sound right there but anyway...

I got them because chicken ones looked too puny. Whats the best way to cook them? They are not attached to the rest of the bird.

Roast them in a maple and garlicky marinade.

Turkey au vin

Strip the meat and stir fry.

Season, roast with some whole unpeeled garlic cloves, after about half an hour, throw in some potatoes cut in to wedges, and a few slices of lemon. Ten minutes before the end add some fresh basil (whole) leaves. When that lot's done, remove turkey, potatoes and garlic and keep warm. Put tin on hob, add a glass of white wine and bubble to a yummy lemony garlicky sauce.
