pandoro - anyone know what to do with it?

Hiya

I'm not really a foodie, hence the quesion. got a huge pandoro in a tin for xmas and not quite sure what to do with it. it's like a big sponge cake, do we eat it all in one go, or have slices with cream, or just do whatever? what do you normally do with them?

Never heard of it. Is it like panettone? I would just have a slice with a cup of coffee when the fancy takes you, I think it keeps quite well.

slice it horizontally so you get 4 or 5 layers then reassemble adding mascarpone whipped with icing sugar in between the layers and drizzle with melted chocolate. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm (or butter your arteries for a quicker result!). Pandoro is lovely on it's own and is AMAZING lightly toasted (and dusted with icing sugar for real decadence!!!)
