I'm making Nigella's lamb tagine. Does anyone know if I can use a small amount of pomegranate molasses instead of the 250ml of pomegranate juice?

Thanks.

Would think so but you may need more liquid from something else (water/stock/wine etc.)

Pomegranate molasses is quite bitter - you wouldn't get the necessary sweetness. Plus also it is a different consistency. I would try get hold of the pomegranate juice tbh.

Thanks for the replies. I diluted the molasses and added sugar until it tasted more or less like pomegranate juice.
