It's like a lentil bake and can be sliced up and used cold for finger food. One year old DD loves it and I can't find it anywhere. Please help if you can. Thanks!

Sorry, can't help but sounds nice so interested in getting the recipe too.

aitchyou're great, that's the one thanks! DD is notsomuch when it comes to meat so lentils and finger food and something we can eat at a push is a winner.

Grin it does seem very popular, although recently on the blog there has been some controversy over the liquid... do report back on the recipe being right or wrong if you get a min?

Ooh I want to try this recipe! DS is six months and I'm just starting to think about branching out from steamed broccoli and carrot sticks Smile

I have a stupid question though, and would rather ask it here than on the BLW site Blush

When it says 1oz of breadcrumbs, does it mean fresh breadcrumbs (i.e. bread whizzed up in blender) or bought-in-a-tub Barts breadcrumbs? Does it matter?

mefifi · 09/01/2012 23:39

I have only made it with fresh, but I would think it would be OK with the bought ones.

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 10/01/2012 11:07

i presume that it would be fine, didn't know you could get bart's breadcrumbs as well, but they must substitute in otherwise what's the point?

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 10/01/2012 11:07

(btw serena that's my blw site... Wink)

SerenaJoy · 10/01/2012 12:37

Ah. Didn't realise that Aitch Blush Nice job btw - it's v useful Smile

Anyway thanks for the replies. I had a thought after I posted, that maybe the Barts ones might be quite salty? I'll have a look at the salt content before I use them. I do have a blender but it's languishing in a box in my garage, so I'm just being lazy really!

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 10/01/2012 12:47

if you use really stale bread you can just stick it in a bag and bash it, i think. thanks for the comment on the site, it's a bit of a mess at the moment but hopefully will look better soon. don't be frightened to ask a question there, though, daft woman, it's just me you're speaking to.

SerenaJoy · 10/01/2012 14:32

I'm going to unearth my blender - figure it will come in useful for other things anyway.

I'm sure I'll be back on the BLW site soon for more recipes so will ask away!
