Tandoori chicken, but not with any rich sauces

Beetrootfultoyourself · 14/01/2006 16:56

iota · 14/01/2006 16:57

yes tiredmama - -tandoori chicken is marinated and grilled/ put in a tandoor.

NO rich sauces and no naan bread though

tiredemma · 14/01/2006 16:57

Yes, dahl would be good, very low GI

I would go for tandori chicken and a dahl

Actually that isn't true, I go for a mixed vegi thali, but I have an arse the size of the Hoover Dam, so don't do as I do

I used to have a flame grilled kebab (proper type of marinated chicken and chunks of veg on a skewer), plus a lentil based side dish and some raita.

Moomin · 14/01/2006 17:07

there's something called a shishlak or similar which is barbequed meat. my mate who is always watching her weight has that with a big salad

robinpud · 14/01/2006 17:10

Tandoori fish- which in our local is salmon. Then cos their portions are huge, I have the starter as my main course-with salad and a bit of something else.

Mercy · 14/01/2006 17:12

Tandoori fish should be ok too

Mercy · 14/01/2006 17:13

Sorry posts crossed!

mmmmm...... well i was very good, it was so tempting to have a tikka masala.

i had mixed tandoori ( lamb and chicken) with a massive salad.
