Er instead of the nice small crown DP was supposed to buy I have a whole turkey!
I have never cooked one before. Which recipe is best?
Cook it upside down?
Cook it with foil on?
Butter & bacon or just butter?

Help me please! I am lost in a sea of turkey recipes!

My own Smile

I've done all of the above and TBH it's never any different.

The upside down method does keep it moister, I'd say.

Bacon is okay but t hen you get a salty gravy.

If you do foil, you still have to be careful that the legs don't burn/get dry when you take foil off.
I think Ill do upside down this year.

I'm cooking it upside down with sage and butter under the skin and clementines inside. I don't know who's recipe that is.
