How long to roast balls of stuffing?

Either on a tray of their own, or tucked around the roast?

My balls always go flat even if I cooke them for minimum of 15 minutes so I always do a thin layer of stuffing in a buttered tray that sits in the bottom of the oven until crispy and then I transfer it to a warm hot oven.

It can last 40 minutes in the bottom oven.

Generally speaking that's a good idea. Then the stuffing can roast while the meat rests. Unfortunately my oven is small and that slot is already taken up by the roasties!

Ahh, would you consider making it in the morning then and leaving it somewhere warm and covered.

If not I'd say 40 minutes around the roast but that's cause I like them crispy!

I think I'll go for round the roast.

The stuffing's made. I may have made enough to feed the whole town! I intend to set the dc to rolling balls tomorrow. Which will be interesting because ds1 doesn't like to get his hands dirty and will try to roll balls using only his fingertips, dd will realise halfway through that she doesn't like the texture/smell/colour and throw a wobbly, and ds2 will decide it is playdo.
