Chicken thighs recipe - slow cooker?

I want to make some kind of chicken casserole using thighs. I just have a craving for warm comforting food and that seemed to fit the bill. I've also got onions, carrots, new potatoes and probably some bags of veg in the freezer. Can I just throw it all in the slow cooker and hope for the best? Or do I need to cook it first? Add any liquid?

TIA Xmas Smile

Try this, very easy:
Fry onion and chicken thighs to seal (you don't strictly need to do this, but I like to). Add a sprinkle of flour to thicken the sauce, add chicken stock, wine, bung all in slow cooker with carrots, potatoes, whatever else, season with whatever herbs you like. Leave, then eat.

Have a look in here. Search for chicken cacciatora. It will work out very well for thighs and you can add carrots or any veg you like to it.

I fling in chopped carrots, onion, sometimes leek and celery too (depends what's in fridge) Pull off skin and put chicken thighs in slow cooker. I dont precook anything. Little bit of water, just to get it going til the veg sweat.
Cook all day!

I always strip the meat off the bones before serving, usually with plain rice

All the dc eat it.
