OK - so how do I rescue my boiled condensed milk??

I boiled it for three and a half hours but it hasn't thickened and I can't use it in the recipe I was going to use it in.

Is there anything I can do or do I just consign it to the bin and throw away the biscuit base while I'm at it?

was it the thick gloopy stuff in teh first place -- not the thin runny evaporated milk?

No, it was the thick gloopy stuff - or it should have been anyway! It's come out runnier than it went in, I think!

microwave it - just check every minute or so. I think Nigella has recipe (for millionares shortbread) in Domestic Goddess book, or google it.
