I always do honey and mustard, for colour as well as flavour. Any other ideas please?

Treacle, sugar, cloves

Hassledge · 10/12/2011 19:47

You don't really taste the mustard, do you? Can't they just have the inside bit?

Ginger preserve, the kind with lumps of ginger in, and stud with cloves. It is SO DELICIOUS.

Mustard. They won't know.

Soft brown sugar works well for colour. If you used Dijon or something mild I don't think it would really taste of mustard would it? (obviously a non-accommodating hostess here!!)

Sorry, had read all the other posts but only the title of the thread, not the full OP which mentions honey. I'll get my coat Xmas Blush
