I noticed this ages ago but noticed this in November when I saw a Sainsbos TTD christmas cake mix, it was on the shelf full price for about 5 days then its 50% off and has been ever since. I saw some fresh cranberries also first time also stating 50% off - never actually seen them full price.
The same with the boxes with these so called offers - 50% off all over them - but this wrapping paper hasnt been sold before this so how can this be?
Surely special offers can only be offered for a short time as its got to be a loss to the supplier and the retailer. These 50% offers dont actually exist then as the price is the set price that it will always be sold at.
I wish the supermarkets would concentrate on selling better quality at the correct price, no silly gimmicks, giving the supplier the best price and the consumer good value but within quality.
