I went off Mc D's when my brother told me he was dealing with a case where a woman is pressing charges for finding something really really gross in her burger. She only realised that it had been in the burger when she had an allergic reaction to it and had to go to hospital.

Let me say that it's something that you would only eat if your DH or DP "gave it" to you....if you swallow that is.

MrsSpoon · 08/01/2006 15:46

Now I really do feel sick, bleuuurgh!

Did'nt think mcdonalds sold chicken wings!Never seen them in there and i go at least once a month!

Think i would be sick if i found that, yuk!

fancyhat · 08/01/2006 17:03

hoax - I don;t believe it for a minute

NotQuiteCockney · 08/01/2006 17:04

Actually, I thought "hoax" too. (And I'm afraid I do still think it about the McSpermy, sorry, flutterbee ... although, to be fair, McDs would do their level best to keep that out of the press.)

But the chicken thing is really true. I did a search. It happened a few years back. One thing that somewhat indicates it's not a hoax is the fact there's a name, place and date on the article.

fancyhat · 08/01/2006 17:06

but they don;t do chicken wings - just checked their website!

NotQuiteCockney · 08/01/2006 17:07

No. But they did, briefly, in 2000.

NotQuiteCockney · 08/01/2006 17:07

They do all sorts of weird stuff, in different places, anyway. In Eastern Canada, they (sometimes?) do a McLobster. I've heard radio ads.

NotQuiteCockney · 08/01/2006 17:08

Look, here is the link that convinced me - it's from a stop-hoaxes site. And says this isn't a hoax.

fancyhat · 08/01/2006 17:10

hmm, have to admit I just found a few sources myself. maybe it is true - though one points out that it might have been down to an individual who brought it in, rather than it having slipped through their nets, iswim

NotQuiteCockney · 08/01/2006 17:47

True. It didn't look much like a wing.

The fact there's more than one photo indicates at least it's not a photoshop thing.

There was a tale going round a few years back which I strongly suspect was an urban myth. Someone apparently ordered a McChicken Burger and asked for no mayo as they couldn't stand mayo, when they got said McChicken Burger and bit into it they thought 'Yuck, mayo' the 'mayo' was under the batter and was discovered to be an absess on the chicken.

I heard this few different sources, always happened to a cousin or a friend of a friend.
