Ideas for an easily digested dinner for people recovering from food poisoning?

Any ideas? I don't fancy anything I can think of making.

We've all had food poisoning but are recovered today - just a bit weak, off our food and feeling sorry for ourselves.

A boiled egg mashed up in a cup with butter.

I always got this when I was ill as a child.

Tinned tuna, a little mayo, and rice, mixed up in a bowl.

Veg soup (leeks carrots peas whatever) with some pearl barley or rice in it. I'm feeling fragile with morning sickness and I'm eating this 2 x a day. Maybe some bread and butter or some pre cooked roast chicken dropped in too.

Each to their own but personally I'd avoid any fats and go for bland foods:

rice is very gentle on the stomach
perhaps accompanied with flakes of steamed white fish

not very exciting but easy on the digestion

An alternative would be baked potatoes with minimal butter (a spot of Marmite?)

Marmite on toast?

BRAT diet used to be recommended as low in fibre and fairly gentle on stomach
(banana, rice, apple sauce, toast)

Having had very severe food poisoning, I was advised by the hospital to stick to BRAT diet - with rice as the first food of choice. Other things I was able to use were the less acidic juices, so apple & grape & consomme soup or a clear vegetable broth. Very slowly re-introduce small quantities of fats & proteins.

We always have rice and some plain chicken breasts after tummy trouble.

The BRAT diet -

Bananas
Rice
Apples
Toast

Sorry, already been mentioned!

Thanks everyone - I'll see what we feel like later. :)
