I need to use up a pumpkin. Soup or something else?

We have a pumpkin left over from the allotment. Good size, but not a monster. No one in this house likes sweet vegetables except me, but we have friends coming tomorrow for lunch who I know do. I make a good pumpkin soup, but can't serve it as a separate course, as only the guests and I would eat it. So I could put a pot of it on the table with all the other food (an uncomplicated pick and mix: quiche, spuds, veg, salads, dips). Or perhaps I should do something more adventurous with the pumpkin, can anyone suggest anything?

NB it has to be low effort - I need to prepare lunch whilst supervising a 3 year old and two 1 year olds.

I love this:

I chop the pumpkin in the food processor rather than grate it, then just add the other ingredients to the processor so it's quick. Have had loads of compliments on this.

Roast it and have it cold in a bulgur or couscous salad?
