and I dont know what to do with them, and they've started dripping, and there are flies!!

they are a present - friend said husband was shooting would I like a brace of partridge? so I said yes, assuming they would be plucked and drawn.

but they're not they are fully feathered and everything! just read how to pluck and draw online, and dont think its for me. phoned a local butcher who said they were not allowed to take any old game and deal with it.

what can I do next??

I'd wrap them in a bag and bury them in the garden, or take a trip to the tip. If you haven't dealt with them before its a messy, fiddly job

hahaha! thank god for that reply, I was secretly thinking 'shall I just bin the buggers?'

Don't bother plucking them. Skin them and make a stew with some rabbit or chicken. Delicious.

They're easy to skin - just make a cut up the front, and then peel back the skin, feathers and all. Then quickly roast, or stew, as 4merlyknownasSHD said. I am Envy

Definately just whip the skin off, I usually marinade in red wine and make a casserole either in the slow cooker or oven

Agree, never waste good free food. There are plenty of tips on the net. I had a crash course in skinning a rabbit the other week. It was so easy got all the instructions from the Hugh FW book. Loved it and made two meals.

You need to do research on being given game, what I mean is you need to read up quick and make sure you have all the ingredients to make your dish.

Nothing better than leaning a new skill.
