Can you freeze cheese sauce?

That's it really!

Made a lovely cheese sauce to go with dinner and did loads,so thought I'd freeze it for next time.

yes. i always make loads and freeze in postion sized pots. very handy when we have pasta for lunch- just defrost and instant sauce

Crikey,that was quick-thank you.

I'll freeze it and see what happens-seems such a waste to throw it out.It's the first time I've done it and I made it a bit too thick,so was going to add some milk when defrosted.
Won't bother if it's going to go all watery though,lol!

dh is a trained chef and advised that it might not be the same as when it went in.

I freeze cheese sauce every time I do it - I don't seem to have a problem on the watery front. In fact I have just defrosted a batch for dinner tonight and is fine
