made last night fresh. I have quite a bit left over, and wondered will I be able to freeze them (in the casserole dish they are in, or a freezer bag?) and to cook do I need to defrost, or cook from frozen?

Personally I wouldn't freeze, potato gets very mushy after freezing. But they should keep for 4 or 5 days in the fridge.

They'll be quite mushy when you defrost them, but spicy nearly-mash doesn't sound like a bad thing to me :)

Ok, would the fact they were cooked in their skins make them less likely to mushy if frozen?

I'm only thinking of freezing them as due too menu planning i have stuff for tonight and tomorrow.
Actually, if they would keep ok, I could keep for monday and put left over chicken from tomorrows roast in with it and heat up for tea couldn't i?

That sounds like a good plan.

Skins will help individual potatoes stay separate but the potato bit will still be mushy.
