Hi

I ran out of time with a Jamie Oliver recipe so, instead of a pastry base just made a biscuit one. Now the next step is coat it with sliced apples, pour the condensed milk/ caramel over it and then put it in the oven for 40 minutes. Would you do that with a biscuit base?

Am i being daft or should i just chill it?

Well, you'll have to do something to cook the apples and turn the condensed milk into toffee surely? Unless you've already cooked the apples thoroughly I suppose...

I would of thought it would be fine as you would do this with a baked cheese cake would you not?

I'd boiled the condensed milk but forgotten about the pastry - which required 2 hours of chilling according to JO.

I'll bung it in the oven for half hour.

Thanks for your replies.
