what to cook for parent & toddler group?

Have been given £25 by the nursery to cook for 15 adults & 18 children. They'll be fed at about 4pm. Have been changing my mind all afternoon! Random ideas so far have included:

  • chicken curry and veg curry
  • spag bol
  • chicken pasta bake

The mum last week made chicken biryani and samosas. They have said 'finger food' is ok but I'm not even sure what that would include and whether that would be more hassle!? And I feel that if I made spag bol/pasta bake I'd need one more 'thing' but can't think of what!

Any help greatly appreciated.

I would go for something like macaroni cheese, but chicken pasta bake is pretty close.

How about fish pie made with salmon and bulked out with peas and lots of cheesy mash?
