I'm looking for ways to entertain my young cousins. What do your kids most like cooking?

cakes! But especially to lick out the bowl. :)

mine all prefer making sweet to savoury.

Gingerbread men. We make a batch of biscuits together. I then mix some icing and colour it in small bowls with a couple of different colours. I put different sprinkles on the table and we sit there for hours decorating the gingerbread men. Most of the ones my son makes end up decapitated as he ts their heads and then decorates the body. LOL

pizza dough and then roll out and decorate with assorted toppings, peanut butter cookies, gingerbread men, jam tarts, cakes...my dd also likes chopping veg and salad up but not necessarily eating it!

My 5 year old likes making cakes, bread, pizza and his special whizzy veg sauce which is tomatos and stuff whizzed in the food processor then cooked and used in lasagna

Cakes, gingerbread, biscuits, helping make their sandwiches for lunch, pizza or foccacia, chopping the veg to put in whatever we're cooking for dinner.
DD's just turned 9 and is learning to cook proper food with me now, not just the baking and bits we did before.

Mine are 3 and 7 and very willing to help mix cakes and ice them. But the thing they both love doing is naan bread pizzas, very easy just get them to spread tomato puree over them, and then top with whatever they want. And because they've made it, they always eat it. Failing that, a pack of digestives and some icing pens keeps them happy for a good hour.

we made rock cakes the other day but called them space rocks, comets and meteors, using raisins, choc chips and hundreds and thousands. Kids loved it as they were able to do every part of the recipe unaided.

They sound great shoppingbagsundereyes. How do you make them?

And digestives with icing pens is a genius idea.

250g sr flour, 90g soft brown sugar, 90g butter, 125g raisins, choc chips or sprinkles, 1 egg. Rub butter into flour like crumble mix. Add sugar and raisins/ choc chips. Beat the egg and add it. Mix with a fork and put rock like dollops onto greased baking tray. Bake for 15 mins at 200
